Coco's Ride: What if Chanel designed automobiles?

Click above for a high-res gallery of the Chanel Fiole concept car
Jinyoung Jo is a car designer at Hong-ik University in South Korea, and this is her creation: the Chanel Fiole concept. As with classic Coco Chanel work, the design of the car was centered on simplicity of lines and "the best of black and white." As with most concepts, there was also an emphasis on airflow. The car seats three, two abreast and one staggered in between -- but it's probably best considered a sleek two-seater for runway types.
Have a peek at the Fiole video, which is better than a few commercials we've seen for real cars, and get an in-depth view of it in the high-res gallery of photos below.

As a design project... its another typical student's attempt to define him/herself as a designer.
But WOW, check out the promo video she made for the project. If she doesn't find a future in car design, she sure seems to have a knack in multi-media production and making commercials.

That damned girl stole my idea, which I had used LONG before her. We're talking at least a year.

SUE!!! But in all seriousness your design is nicer :)

since when can you copyright a doodle?
Steve 2:38PM (3/27/2009)
1. When you own a design firm, all images you design are copyrighted. Whether it's a dog taken a poo, or a chanel car, it belongs to you. Doesn't matter if it's drawn with a burnt matchstick, or a solid 4B Pencil either.
2. Let's see you draw a better "Doodle" then me.

Even if that is the law, it sounds stupid cause I think more than one person in the world can think of and make drawings of chanel car. It's oppressing free flow of idea and creativity.
Besides even though concept is the same - the chanel car- design wise, you guys are very different.

I'm giving you a hard time because of your obnoxious comment on the youtube video. You call yourself a "real designer" yet your site consists of a few photographs, sketches of cars, and the hilarious claim of designing the worlds fastest nissan skyline. The chanel car which you claim to have an international patent on, is laughable. You then say "I'll let you stand on this one, but from now on girl, always check the patents. Remember that."
While you may not like the styling of this chanel car, the skills the original author drew upon while creating it is lightyears beyond what you're capable of. Goodluck with that design studio of yours.
Regards,
A registered and practicing Architect, aka - a real designer.

I-Man.
The design of the worlds fastest Nissan Skyline GT-R, and the worlds fastest Datsun Fairlady Z is most certainly not a hilarious "claim". I may be young, and I may be just a beginner in the design section of my life, but I am most certainly not a liar when it comes to design.
RIPS Racing, in New Zealand, currently has the worlds fastest street Datsun Z. They are in the process of developing the worlds fastest Datsun Z Racecar for the quarter mile, and a GT-R to beat the heat treatments GT-R which to this day still stands as the fastest GT-R.
My work is displayed on their main page, and I am the designer of both of these cars that they are hard at work at. I haven't heard much about the Nissan Skyline from Rob, the owner, in quite awhile. For all I know, he may have quit the idea. I know the Datsun is quite a reality however, and I have the blueprints for both to back them up.
All my designs are patented and registered, and if you ever get the chance to visit a Canadian Patent office, I'd highly recommend you look them up under the license of Japanese Domestic Market Aerodynamics.
As a member of the design community, and a "veteran" I'm supposing, it's rather sick to think that you would insult someone with their whole life ahead of them, and another designer themselves. YOUR insult is truly demeaning, where as I have all the evidence to back my claims up, and you're putting me down.
I thought people who shared the same interest (AKA pencil to paper) would share the same respect, but you have obviously proven me to be mistaken.

Trying to gain respect by claiming she copied your POS sketch which in my opinion don't see any similarity. Also the pieces of sh*t who rate your comments highly.

Read your youtube comments again with your own words in mind.

Doesn't stand out much from all the other design-student mush (better than the hordes of "eco-friendly pod-cars" that seem to dominate design schools), but there are touches that tie it to Chanel.
And damn, that car's got SOME cleavage. Haha.

to be honest, if you look at it from a fashion stand point her lines are indictive of womens clothing. The low dropped line extending down from the windshield (the cleavage), emulates the low line on a woman's formal dress, with the part of the hood extending up the pillar like a high collared dress. Also notice the rear wheels are covered, but fitted around the shape of the body. It's like a sleeveless form fitted high collar dress, with a slight opening at the front.
Now to reduce the gaydar alert. Boobies. I likes em. A lot.
