A star of Fiat's display at the Istanbul International Auto Show this week is this extreme show car version of its popular Grande Punto, appropriately named the Grande Punto "Radicale." Looking for all the world like a cross between a World Rally Championship contender and a DTM racecar, the Radicale exhibits every aero-tweak known to man, including a coffee table-sized front splitter, huge vented fender flares, a rooftop air intake, and a massive rear diffuser - all topped off with a huge roof-mounted wing.

If a civic equipped this way is a Rice-rocket, is this Fiat a Pasta-popper?

Perhaps it actually translates from Italian as "Ridicule". The stock model is actually quite attractive.

I'll bet that whoever gave the designers and engineers the go-ahead on this project is really regretting it. I don't know if I've ever seen an uglier car. If I have, this one made me forget about it.

'Pimp my Ride' has a lot to answer for. This is dumb-down motoring, even the clothes-drier on the back says 'I want the whole world to know that i'm an idiot for buying this'

Grande Punto radicale is a very unique car and it has more than what you can see. Did you notice the center single wheel nut? With the proper pit-crew (hopefully Ferrari)its wheels can be changed in less than 5 seconds. The interior of the Grande Punto Radicale is constructed entirely from Carbon Fiber. İt has a very tall middle consul that extent all the way back through the center of rear seats making the car a true 2+2 in seating. The lowered seat height with the taller middle consul make the driver feel like they are in a Ferrari. The front seats are all the way back and they are fixed. This is to ensure perfect weight distribution. The electrically operated pedal box moves forward and back to adjust to drivers height.
It has a six speed squential gearbox. I have also noticed a large Nos bottle in the back of the car.
