We showed you a while back some spy shots of a Nissan mini-ute based on the Qashqai concept first shown at the 2004 Geneva Motor Show. WorldCarFans has posted some more spy shots of the small CUV that's scheduled to go into production later this year at Nissan's Sutherland plant in the U.K. Since WorldCarFans is getting a bit overprotective of its spy shots and has begun stamping them with instructions that sound one step away from legal action, the above photo is a shot of the woods behind the captured Qashqai mule. Click it to see the actual shots.
The site refers to an inside source that says the vehicle will be a world car launched next year, though no word on whether or not North America is on that map. WorldCarFans' rendering makes the Qashqai concept look like the love child of Nissan's Versa subcompact and a Toyota RAV-4. Expected powerplants include a 2.0L four-cylinder and possibly a V6 for the top trim level. A diesel or two will, or course, be offered in Europe, as well.

Thanks EBM14 for the tip!

Dont worry George. I dont think "willdathrill" has ever smoked a joint or hugged a tree. He's too stiff up the butt. Prolly has a long pole up his crack and that ensures he stays uptight. Prolly cant even dance with that pole up his butt. I say, screw the tree huggin and smoke a joint, willdathrill. Mebbe, you might getdathrill instead of willdathrill.

I am absolutely shocked. As a Mitsubishi fan I am partial to the upcoming Outlander, but (don't tell anyone I said this) I have always had a secret "thing" for the Murano. Great car, if pricey.
I am amazed that Nissan -- the same Nissan responsible for the Skyline concept and the Murano -- could produce this baby-rhinocerous lookin' monstrocity!

      George,

      Believe me assmunch;
      1. I wish you would come here to Las Vegas and try to check me.
      2. You made the comment that no one likes it because it's small, yet no one mentions that, they just mention that it's ugly. Then you go on with this 3 dollar, large SUV, American gas wasting BS; what do you think people are going to think.........tree hugger. If you don't believe me, find a Hummer post.
      3. Spelling isn't the main concern here professor! Obviously you got my point, so I guess spelling possibly isn't mainly what you are bitching about, but about how I embarrassed you and 1 person agreed to it. Plus, if this blog had spell check, maybe someone would care.
      4. I'm not discouraging you from using the boards, say what you want, but be ready to take criticism and be ready to give it. When you try to check someone about seeing them in person, it's a different story. Talking internet shit and actually being there are two different things. You so big and bad, meet me on Craig and Nellis (you already know what city, state is Nevada[because there is a Las Vegas, New Mexico]), come holla at a brotha and we can post pics of the loser. Be ready, the military police will arrest the winner.....and only when he wins. Please believe it.

You know, I would buy a mini Murano, if it looked ANYTHING like a Murano. This is nothing like that rolling art project. It is simply an ordinary small SUV shape with a couple extra creases and the now-standard Nissan grille slapped on the front. Now if it actually had the general shape of the Murano, only smaller, I would consider trading in my gar for one of these.

      THANKS FOR SAYING THAT WILLDATHRILL.
YOU PUT IT BETTER THAN I COULD HAVE.

Humm??? All posters raise their hand if they said the mini Murano was ugly cause of it's size..............

Didn't think so. George, it's ugly cause IT'S FUCKING UGLY DUMBASS! Fuckin' tree huggers I swear, thinking people don't like stuff because it doesn't do for the greater good of mother earth. Get off your hobby horse; that thing looks like a fat ass Versa. And yes, the Versa is ugly too along with the new body Sentra. But hey, maybe they're just ugly because they are small fuel effecient cars......no, they're just ugly.

For you information, gas is $3 a gallon here because politicians and oil conglomerants (if I spelled that right) are greedy. When is the last time you got a 450 million dollar severance package? Notice how no one ever really admits (with hard evidence) that there is an actual oil shortage. Plus the prices are up because they charge us more for cleaner burning fuels and blame natural disasters and conflicts for it. Do your research before boring us with your tree hugger crap. Go smoke a joint you hippie and STFU!

Good God. That thing is ugly.

Car manufacturers are getting better at camouflaging their pre-production mules. I swear that by this picture, the new Nissan Murano looks exactly like a tree.

      :P
