We showed you a while back some spy shots of a Nissan mini-ute based on the Qashqai concept first shown at the 2004 Geneva Motor Show. WorldCarFans has posted some more spy shots of the small CUV that's scheduled to go into production later this year at Nissan's Sutherland plant in the U.K. Since WorldCarFans is getting a bit overprotective of its spy shots and has begun stamping them with instructions that sound one step away from legal action, the above photo is a shot of the woods behind the captured Qashqai mule. Click it to see the actual shots.
The site refers to an inside source that says the vehicle will be a world car launched next year, though no word on whether or not North America is on that map. WorldCarFans' rendering makes the Qashqai concept look like the love child of Nissan's Versa subcompact and a Toyota RAV-4. Expected powerplants include a 2.0L four-cylinder and possibly a V6 for the top trim level. A diesel or two will, or course, be offered in Europe, as well.

Thanks EBM14 for the tip!
