Over-monied US car collectors/speed freaks have reason to rejoice. Dutch manufacturer
Spyker has announced that its Audi-powered C8 short-wheelbase sports
car has received US type approval, paving the way for stateside sales. That said, the adrenally challenged
may want to wait for the C8’s new big brother, the new
C12 LaTurbie. This bad boy (shown here in
Geneva) is powered by the same disastrously thirsty yet potent W12 engine that motivates the Audi
A8 W12, VW Phaeton W12, Bentley Continental GT and forthcoming Bentley Flying Spur. The C12 should sprint to 60 in
3.9 seconds, top out at 220mph and (eventually) bling-up scissor-door loving American rappers.
