It gets a powerful hybrid and high-end features
The Hyundai Palisade is one of the most popular three-row crossovers in the United States, with the latest model achieving an all-time sales record for the nameplate in August—over 85,000 examples have already been sold across the country this year.
So, when a new Palisade variant that’s high on exclusivity and luxury is launched, it’s worth taking note of. The model we’re talking about is the new Palisade Hybrid National Hockey League Edition (NHL Edition), with several unique features and a limited production run. It does come with a major catch, though.
Ultimate Palisade Is Only For Canada

Hyundai
Yes, that’s the bad news—this NHL Edition of the Palisade is only for the Canadian market, where it’s limited to 500 units, all for the 2026 model year. The Palisade Hybrid NHL Edition is a celebration of Canada’s passion for hockey, and also emphasizes the Korean brand’s position as supplier of the Official Vehicle of the NHL, National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA) and the National Hockey League Alumni Association (NHLAA) in Canada.
The new Palisade NHL Edition follows in the footsteps of last year’s Santa Fe NHL Edition, another Canada-exclusive model with an array of special finishes and accessories.Â

Outside, the Palisade NHL Edition is finished in matte-white, which only emphasizes the enlarged dimensions of the new-generation model. Based on the range-topping Ultimate Calligraphy Hybrid trim, it also gets high-end features like 21-inch wheels (with center wheelcaps showing off the NHL team logo) and a dual-pane sunroof.
Inside, the 500 lucky owners get to enjoy a spacious cabin with Grey Charcoal Nappa leather. The team-personalized accessories include Luxwood door sills, TuxMat floor liners, and branded carpet mats. There is no shortage of tech and comfort items, from the ventilated seats in the first two rows to the digital rearview mirror, 14-speaker Bose sound system, and relaxation mode for the second-row seats. This model is also equipped with front/rear dash cameras.
Under the hood, this ultimate Palisade has the same 2.5-liter turbocharged hybrid powertrain found in local models, which produces 329 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque.Â
In Canada, the 2026 Hyundai Palisade NHL Edition costs $68,899 CAD, equivalent to just under $50,000 at current rates.
USA’s Palisade Lineup Still Has Much To Offer

Hyundai
We may not have access to the NHL Edition, but the local Hyundai Palisade lineup still has something to suit every buyer. There are no less than six trims, starting with the SE at under $40k and going all the way up to the opulent Calligraphy, which costs $58,280 in hybrid guise. The specialized XRT Pro is also available with its standard AWD system, an electronic limited-slip differential, and Terrain Mode Select, with dedicated modes for tackling mud, snow, and sand.
While the gas-powered Palisade (which still features a V6) has been on sale for a few months, the hybrid versions are set to arrive imminently. Not only is the hybrid more powerful than the gas-only model, but it’s capable of covering 619 miles on a full tank, making it an excellent road-trip vehicle.
