It’s true. A report from the The Progressive Group of Insurance
Companies says that cars with higher horsepower are in less accidents. So why is that new Mustang GT costing you a
fortune in insurance? Because higher horsepower cars cost more to repair in an accident. They’re involved in 17 percent
fewer claims but are 22 percent more to repair. Of course the Progressive
press release says to check with your current
insurance company if considering a high horsepower car…then shop around to other insurance carriers for a better price.
