Autoweek is at
it again with some more speculation on what car companies are planning to do in the coming years. This time it’s Mazda,
which has announced that it will release 16 new vehicles globally in the next three years. Reports are that as many as
nine to fourteen of the vehicles will be for sale in North America (which doesn’t necessarily mean the U.S.). Possible
candidates, according to Autoweek, include a seven-seat car-based sport wagon to replace the MPV, the already-confirmed
car-based CX-7 SUV, two-door and convertible versions of the RX-8, as well as redesigns of the Tribute and Mazda6.
