Not really a huge surprise, but BMW has confirmed that we’ll see
the BMW Z4’s M series model and the much-appreciated Z4 coupe this side of the pond for the 2007 model year. The models
should roll into U.S. dealerships around June of next year, just right for convertible season in the case of the M
series roadster. The Z4 coupe will be powered by a DOHC 3.0L inline six with 255 horses, while the M series Z4 will be
carried along by the M3’s 333 hp 3.2L engine. Both should come with the option of a manual or automatic transmission.
The M series should show up at the Detroit show in January, hopefully an M coupe to follow at Geneva.
