Lamborghini built 2,903 Diablos over a period of 10 years. The Italian
firm’s Chief Executive Stefan Winkelmann said the goal of producing 3000 Gallardos was accomplished in less than 24
months, which makes the this little bull the best selling model in Lamborghini’s acclaimed history.

The Gallardo was introduced as a more affordable offering from the Italian sports-car maker in 2003. The
two-passenger coupe features permanent four-wheel drive, aluminum space-frame construction, and an
Audi-supplied V-10 pushing some 493 horsepower mated to either a 6-speed auto-shift manual or 6-speed manual, both with
OD. The MSRP on the two-door coupe is $165,900, which makes ‘more affordable’ a relative term.
