We were introduced to the FT-EV, Toyota’s surprise battery-powered Detroit Auto Show vehicle, the other day – but only via official press photos. We’ve now had a chance to check out the shiny decorations on the FT-EV here in Cobo Hall and can bring you some pics of the electric city car. This small EV – it’s based on the iQ mini-car after all – is absolutely covered in gold circuit board and animal stickers. Oh, and some flowers. You also can’t miss the EV badging on the front, sides and back. A more demure version of this concept car should ready for production by 2012.
