DaimlerChrysler announces pricing on Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8

It’s faster than the Porsche Cayenne Turbo and the BMW X5 with a 0-60 time of less than 5 seconds, and yet it’s a fraction of the cost at a mere $39,995 including $675 for destination. The only 4×4 SRT model in DaimlerChrysler’s lineup and the first SRT vehicle in the Jeep lineup is powered by Chrysler’s 6.1 liter Hemi engine with 420 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque, and it’s coming to show rooms near you in Bright Silver, Inferno Red and Brilliant Black. The only SRT model faster than the Jeep is the 510 hp Dodge Viper SRT10. That’s one mean mutha trucka.
