Check out the priceless look on this dad’s face when reunited with his first car after 24 years.
Rick Lookebill had been trying to find his 1972 Mustang Mach 1 since he sold it. When he brought up finding the car again his children became determined to surprise their dad with an unforgettable gift. They tracked down the Mustang and bought it from the current owner in Florida. Besides a little rust and wear it was the same car Lookebill watched drive away years ago.
After he spotted the car in his backyard, amid tears and laughter, Lookebill jumped in and immediately gave the engine a good rev. The video was posted on YouTube in April but has just recently gone viral after it was posted on the popular website Reddit where it received 1,600 comments.
Chevy featured a similar story in a video for their ‘Chevy Runs Deep’ ad campaign. In the video a son surprises his father with the 1965 Chevrolet Impala SS after the family sold it in the mid 1980s. This car took five years to track down, but his father’s reaction makes all the effort worthwhile.
