The Automotive News Data Center has published a list of the top ten best sellers of 2005 through the month
of September. According to
MSN Autos, who
has thankfully bought a subscription to the Automotive News site so the rest of us don’t have to, the top ten so far
this year is filled with the usual suspects. The F-Series tops the list at 694,690 units, which means it’s still
possible for the truck to break 900,000 units for the second year in a row. The Toyota Camry, which includes the Solara
(is that fair?), is the best selling passenger car but sits behind the F-Series and Silverado in the number three spot.
MSN happened to notice, as well, that every truck/SUV on the list is a domestic and every passenger car is a Japanese
import. Things that make you go, hmm…
