Weird Mercedes crossover sets new precedent with "eye-bleeding" technology

I know, mine hurt too. Mercedes-Benz is supposedly combining American styling with European dimensions and dynamism with this, ahem, effort, called the Viano Activity. But apparently the only American thing they looked at was a tractor trailer rig. The basic platform is taken from the Vito van and Viano MPV, but this vehicle has a pickup-style bed that extends to transport unwieldy items, like your dead aunt’s hideous highboy that you’re going to bring home and chop into firewood despite her deathbed request that you keep it in your bedroom. As if. The Viano Activity concept will appear at the Hanover Vehicle Fair at the end of September.
