Saab’s largest current car, the 9-5, is set to undergo a significant facial restructuring that borrows heavily from
the 9X concept, which itself was introduced almost three years ago. The typical Saab grille is carried over in a
stylized and more angular form, but new vertically-stacked headlights are pushed inboard and recessed into the nose.
Interior changes will of course accompany the exterior shapeshifting. The car will be available in the UK in summer of
2005 with a new 1.9-liter diesel. Count on its U.S. debut not long afterwards.
