Those of us that live in glorious states that get snow and all the wonderful messes that it brings tend to forget one little thing during the winter– getting our cars washed regularly. One of the worst things to do to a car is let salt and sand settle on metal surfaces, which is why car care during the winter is very important. This article from MotorTrend.com praises the professional car washes because it is usually too cold to do it yourself. My recommendation is a good power-washing to the undercarriage every week.
