A battle is brewing for the rights to build the Epsilon platform based cars in Europe. Sweden and SAAB purists
are fighting to keep the 9-3 production at the plant in Trollhaettan. The other Epsilon plant in Europe,
responsible for the Opel/Vauxhall Vectra in Ruesselheim, Germany is fighting for the same jobs. Swedish government
has offered GM improved road and rail access to the plant as well making money available for research and
development. Let the subsidies begin!
