If you hoped for gas to dip far below its current rate, you might be in a rude awakening.
Despite fluctuations in crude oil prices, gasoline prices have remained relatively solid and will not see any major
decrease anytime soon. The problem is that world wide growth, especially growth in China and India, has put pressure on
the refining capacity of the world. So even if OPEC increases output, or if the US opens certain areas for oil
prospecting, the limiting factor is still going to be refining capacity. That means gasoline prices won’t be heading
south anytime soon.
