Monterey car week, you get what you pay for. You can drop quite a bit of cash and see pristine pre-war machinery at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance or vintage racecars at the Monterey Motorsports Reunion. On the other hand, you could spend nothing but travel costs and attend the

At this event you’ll see Pintos, Chevettes, LeCars, and more of the most infamous and unusual cars that automakers ever dared sell the public. This event and the cars that attend offer a fun break from the uptight world of million-dollar rides that dominate the rest of the week. Everyone from the owners to the organizers are in on the joke, too. Just look at some of the class names: “Unmitigated Gaul” for French cars, “Rueful Britannia” for British and “Warsaw Pact” for Soviet Bloc built cars.
