Warm weather is here with the official start of summer just around the corner, so now’s a good time to get outdoor gear, yard tools, and seasonal equipment organized before everything starts piling up. A canopy-style storage shed can be a smart option if you need more covered space but don’t want to commit to a permanent metal shed or full garage structure or carport. It’s useful for mowers, e-bikes, firewood, garden supplies, patio gear, pool equipment, and project materials, and it can also give you a shaded spot to stage tools while working outside.
With this deal we found, the Zimtown 8-Foot by 8-Foot Canopy Storage Shed is on sale for only $120 at Walmart, down over 40% from its usual $210 price. It measures 8 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 6.8 feet tall, giving you 64 square feet of covered space in a footprint that’s still manageable for many yards, patios, gardens, and driveways. The shelter is made with durable fabric and a metal frame, and the material is listed as waterproof, UV resistant, tear resistant, and snow resistant.
The enclosed-but-flexible design is what makes this super useful for summer storage. The roll-up zippered door gives you a wider opening for moving gear in and out, while the removable sidewalls let you adjust the shelter for access, airflow, or shade depending on how you’re using it. It also includes four ground support poles, four adjusters, 17 ground stakes, and four wind ropes to help keep the structure stable.
At just 37.5 pounds, it’s portable enough to move or take down when needed, but it’s still large enough for a mower, yard equipment, bikes, firewood, tools, or other seasonal gear. It’s not a replacement for a permanent shed in severe weather, but for temporary covered storage and summer projects, it offers a lot of value and usability for the price.
