Metal storage sheds, such as the $160 Yodolla Outdoor Metal Storage Shed that’s on sale for just $85 during this week’s Walmart Deals event, provide a long list of benefits. They’re often more affordable and stronger than other types of sheds, and they also offer fire resistance that you won’t always find in sheds constructed from other materials. However, they’re usually water-resistant rather than waterproof, so you might want to consider a resin shed if you need a truly waterproof storage solution.
Under normal circumstances, a resin shed can cost a lot more than a metal one. But since Walmart is running a week-long sales event right now, you can buy many resin options, like the Sylviera 6-Foot by 8-Foot Waterproof Resin Storage Shed, at deep discounts. It typically costs $1,100, but you can order one for only $500, plus an extra $80 for shipping.
Top SellerMeasuring about 6 feet wide, 8 feet deep, and just under 7 feet tall, this spacious shed covers roughly 40 square feet and offers almost 225 cubic feet of storage space. It features a pair of sturdy, lockable doors that are almost 4 feet wide, making it easy to access everything inside, plus a pre-installed floor made of tough plastic that makes setup easy and keeps the shed stable once built.
Still, the star of the show is the shed’s double-layered resin walls, which are waterproof, rustproof, and UV-resistant, ensuring your shed lasts a long time and doesn’t let moisture work its way inside and ruin your things. It also has a strong roof with reinforced beams, giving it a snow load rating of 144 pounds per square foot and the ability to withstand heavy snow and ice without collapsing. The roof has hidden rain drainage eaves as well, providing even more protection from the elements.
“This shed looks nice and has a small footprint,” one reviewer wrote. “It’s made of durable plastic with metal framing, and it’s definitely waterproof, so it protects my lawnmower and other things from the rain.”
Another added, “It’s so easy to put together. I’m very happy with my purchase.”
