With winter getting closer, it’s probably time to start putting away some of the stuff that’s been sitting around the patio all summer. Outdoor cushions, gardening tools, and other odds and ends have a way of piling up, and not everything needs to take up space in the garage or shed. A small outdoor storage box can help keep things organized without taking up too much room. They’re particularly useful on apartment balconies, smaller patios, and porches where a full-size deck box would be overkill. Plus, having somewhere to stash a few things right outside the door is pretty convenient year-round.
Right now, the Mindyes 30-Gallon Outdoor Storage Box is on sale at Walmart for $27, nearly half-off its original $50 price. That’s a nice discount on a compact storage box that can hold a couple of patio cushions, gardening tools, outdoor toys, or other smaller items. It’s made from polypropylene resin, so there’s no metal to rust or wood to paint and seal. The material is also designed to resist moisture and UV exposure, making it suitable for leaving outside throughout the changing seasons. Just don’t expect 30 gallons to accommodate an entire set of patio cushions or larger lawn equipment.
Popular PickSomething else that’s nice about this box is that it doesn’t have to serve strictly as storage. The flat lid can double as a small side table or an extra seat, with a listed weight capacity of 250 pounds. That could come in handy when you’re putting on muddy shoes or need somewhere to set a drink while sitting outside. Assembly is straightforward, too, with snap-together panels that don’t require tools, and built-in handles make moving it around easier. The black resin construction should be simple to wipe clean after a season outdoors. For $27, it’s a relatively cheap way to tidy up the patio before winter and keep smaller outdoor essentials close by when spring rolls around.
“It was easy to put together, looks nice, and is lightweight,” said one buyer. “It’s a good size for storage and doesn’t take up too much space.”
Another shopper agreed, saying, “This box is well-made and has plenty of space for keeping things organized. The size is just right, and it’s easy to assemble and use.”
