An all-purpose screwdriver set is one of the easiest tool box additions to recommend because almost everyone needs one sooner or later. For automotive work, screwdrivers come in handy for interior trim, battery terminals, hose clamps, small brackets, electrical connectors, under-hood projects, and general repairs. Around the house, screwdrivers are just as useful for outlets, switches, furniture assembly, appliances, cabinet hardware, door hardware, toys, electronics, and all the other small jobs that pop up without warning.
Right now, the Klein Tools 8-Piece Screwdriver Set is available at Amazon for $40. There isn’t a discount listed right now, but $5 per screwdriver is still a solid deal when you’re getting a name-brand Klein set made here in the USA. It’s an easy pickup for DIYers, mechanics, contractors, electricians, homeowners, pros, and anyone who wants to upgrade from a random mix of old screwdrivers in the bottom of a drawer.
Top SellerThe set includes #0, #1, and #2 Phillips tips, 3/16-inch and 1/4-inch slotted tips, and a 1/8-inch slotted precision tip, giving you a nice set of common sizes. Klein says the precision-machined tips are designed for a better fit and reduced cam-out, which can help avoid stripped screws and frustrating slips. The included magnetizer and demagnetizer tool is another useful add-on, letting you magnetize tips when you want help holding screws or demagnetize them when you don’t.
The twist-resistant blade anchor helps lock the blade into the handle, and the drivers are made with custom US-made tool steel for durability. Perfect for garage projects, automotive repairs, household fixes, electrical work, and everyday maintenance, this is a high-quality screwdriver set that’s easy to justify at $40.
“Klein Tools never disappoints,” raved one happy buyer. “This is the fourth set of Klein screwdrivers I have around the house and shop. If I could just keep people from borrowing them, they would last me forever.” This is a set with a very useful variety of driver types and sizes.”
“Nothing beats Klein Tools,” agreed a second shopper. “As a former electrician, I use nothing else. They are well-made and I expect they will last a lifetime.”
