Staying cool outdoors during the summer can be a challenge, whether you’re camping, tailgating, or just spending time in the backyard. While most portable fans provide airflow, the addition of misting makes a huge difference in comfort, especially when shade and breezes are hard to come by. A compact fan that doubles as a portable mister can take the edge off the heat, helping you relax at the campsite or work comfortably in a hot garage.
The Instern Portable Misting Camping Fan, which is on sale right now for only $36 at Amazon, is designed for these exact situations. Its compact build weighs just 2 pounds, so it’s easy to bring along for camping trips, sporting events, or even afternoons on the patio. With four wind speeds, three misting levels, and a 9-liter water tank, it can deliver hours of cooling mist without constant refills. The 20,000mAh rechargeable battery runs up to 120 hours in fan-only mode, or about 10 hours on full mist and fan settings, ensuring it lasts through long outings.

This fan features a replaceable nozzle to help prevent clogging, ensuring you stay cool and comfortable for the long haul. It also runs quietly at just 32 decibels in its lowest setting, making it useful for sleeping or relaxing in tents. A remote control adds to the convenience, letting you adjust settings without having to get up. Beyond camping, this misting fan is equally handy in the garage while working on cars or during summer barbecues, where it provides instant relief from the heat.
One reviewer who uses it for camping kept it pretty short and sweet, saying, “Overall, it’s a good gadget for camping outdoors. Affordable and useful.”
Another shopper added, “The mist fan is a fantastic addition for summer. It doesn’t replace an air conditioner, but it dramatically improves comfort in outdoor settings or where AC isn’t available. Great value for the money!”
