A classic chest cooler is a must-have for tailgaters, fishermen, beachgoers, campers, and grillmasters who are tired of having to go inside to get a fresh beverage. Every home should have a cooler, in other words, and Amazon is doing its part to make that a reality.
That’s because the Igloo 25-Quart Marine Cooler is on sale for $28 at Amazon, 40% off its normal $47 price tag. It’s a classic white cooler whose design hasn’t really changed since it hit the market in 1967 — and for good reasons.
Rare DealThis cooler’s sturdy UV-inhibiting plastic shell is filled with Thermecool foam that Igloo says is a cleaner, eco-friendly insulation option that still provides “superior ice retention performance.” It also has cool riser technology that elevates the surface of the cooler off of warm surfaces like the deck of a boat. The 25-quart option is big enough to hold up to 36 cans but small enough not to be unwieldy when carried using the swing-up handles on each side. Rounding things out are a lid ruler to measure the fish you catch and tie-down points for securing the cooler during transport.
One customer wrote that this cooler’s “best feature is how well it kept ice,” on a four-day trip in hot weather that ended with ice still in the cooler. They added that the latches are “easy to flip up” and this cooler is “easy to clean.” Overall, it’s “great at storing food on ice” and is “very sturdy and high quality.”
Another shopper said that they’ve “owned a ton of Igloo coolers over the years and this one might be the best one yet.” It’s “heavy-duty but light, durable, and insulated well.”
