When you’re searching for high-quality tool storage solutions, Walmart is always one of the first places you should start. The retailer routinely offers deep discounts on tool boxes, bags, and other products designed to keep your tools secure and easily accessible.
Just in time for Labor Day and the garage cleanouts sure to follow, Walmart has slashed prices on many of its Hart tool boxes, including the Hart 36-Inch 6-Drawer Steel Tool Chest ($127, was $269) and the Hart 52-Inch 6-Drawer Steel Tool Chest ($298, was $449). The retailer also has one of its most popular rolling tool boxes on sale for half its usual price. The Hart 36-Inch 5-Drawer Rolling Tool Chest typically costs $399 at Walmart, but it’s currently on clearance for only $198. You will also need to pay an extra $50 for shipping. But unlike some other rolling tool boxes at Walmart, this one comes fully assembled, so it’s still a steal even after factoring in the extra shipping cost.
Measuring about 36 inches wide, 18 inches deep, and 38 inches tall, this Hart tool chest is even larger than it looks in photos, providing plenty of storage space for all your hand and power tools, plus any accessories and other supplies you choose to store inside. It also features a strong, powder-coated steel construction, giving it more than enough durability to withstand whatever conditions it’s subjected to in your garage.
Additionally, the tool chest boasts five smooth-gliding drawers that support up to 100 pounds each, so you can load it with as many tools as you want without worrying about it buckling under pressure. It’s also a lot easier to move than you might imagine, thanks to its swivel casters that can carry its contents from one part of your workshop to another with ease.
But the most enticing part of this tool chest might be its solid wood top, which lets it double as a fully functional workbench. You can wheel it to whichever part of your garage that you’re working in, set up everything you plan to use right on top, and get down to business — all while keeping the rest of your tools within arm’s reach should you need them.
“It’s a great workbench!” one reviewer wrote. “I love its quality craftsmanship.”
“It was an excellent purchase,” another shopper added. “It has a sturdy construction, and for as big as it is, it moves easily on its wheels. I would definitely recommend this tool box to others.”
