A good set of sockets is an important part of any tool collection, but it’s absolutely essential for mechanics amateur and professional. If you’re just getting into tinkering on cars or you want an extra socket set to keep stashed in your trunk, Walmart has a tremendous deal for you on a versatile kit from a trusted tool brand.
The DeWalt Tough Box 34-Piece Socket Set is on sale for $41 at Walmart, 30% off its normal $58 price tag. It’s a great set on its own, and it also securely attaches neatly to other sets in this DeWalt line.
Rare DealThis set includes a 3/8-inch drive pear head ratchet, 12 SAE sockets from 1/4 to 15/16 inches, 12 metric sockets from 8 to 19 mm, and a trio of adapters. They’re made of full polish chrome steel, deep laser etched with size markings that won’t deteriorate, and housed in a durable, lockable tool box that includes a removable tray. The ratchet itself has a 72-tooth gear system for high torque ratcheting, a 5-degree arc swing, a slim head design for use in tight spaces, and knurling on the handle to create a non-slip gripping surface.
One shopper called this product “a great tool set to take on the go or to use in your garage or workshop” for multiple reasons. “The case keeps everything stored neat and orderly, the locking lid keeps them in place, and the cases are designed to lock to each other if you purchase other sets.” As for the tools themselves, “they seem to be good quality, and the ratchet feels good in my hand when using it.”
“As a carpenter by trade I generally don’t need a lot of sockets on hand daily which makes this set perfect for my truck,” another customer wrote. It has enough sizes “to handle most tasks” and “the ratchet itself is well-made with a great feel in the hand.” And like most reviewers, they love the case because “everything stays put, and it is very easy to take sockets in and out.”
