Need a new mechanics tool set? DeWalt has plenty of worthwhile options. From the compact DeWalt Toughseries 30-Piece Mechanics Tool Set to the supersized DeWalt 264-Piece Mechanics Tool Set, the iconic tool brand provides them in a wide variety of sizes, ranging from small sets you can toss into your vehicle’s trunk to more comprehensive sets that can help you tackle just about any job you take on in your garage.
Originally released in August 2024, the DeWalt 50-Piece Mechanics Tool Set has quickly become one of the most popular — and one of the best-selling — tool sets in the entire DeWalt collection. It offers an excellent selection of tools for a really reasonable price, and right now you can score 30% off when you buy one at Home Depot. The set usually costs $57, but it’s on sale for only $40 for a limited time during the retailer’s Labor Day Sale. It’s also on sale for the same price at Amazon.
Top SellerThis set doesn’t have nearly as many pieces as some of DeWalt’s much larger options. However, it features an excellent mix of tools and accessories that will definitely come in handy during big and small projects alike.
The set includes a 3/8-inch drive low-profile 72-tooth ratchet with an ergonomic handle for comfort, a full complement of 22 3/8-inch drive SAE and metric sockets, 3/8-inch drive 3- and 6-inch extension bars, and a spark plug socket. It also comes with a multi-purpose spinner handle, 22 fastening bits, and a specialty bit adapter. They’re all made from chrome-vanadium steel construction to enhance their durability.
DeWalt also tops it off by packaging all the parts in a bright-yellow storage case, providing protection while keeping them organized and easy to find. It adds even more value to the set and further highlights why it has turned into such an enticing option for both hardcore tool enthusiasts and those simply searching for something to keep in their vehicles just in case.
“It’s a great trunk set!” one reviewer wrote. “You’re basically covered for any emergency situation you encounter.”
