If you’ve set your sights on buying an angle grinder, Amazon has quite a few marked down right now. More specifically, the retailer is selling a handful of deeply discounted DeWalt angle grinders, ranging from the DeWalt Corded 4-1/2-Inch One-Touch Guard Angle Grinder ($75, down from $89) to the DeWalt 20V Max Cordless 4-1/2-Inch Paddle-Switch Angle Grinder ($126, down from $199).
Finding the right balance of power and budget can help you choose the right angle grinder, and you will discover that an option like the DeWalt Corded 4-1/2-Inch Angle Grinder will check both of these boxes. It packs more of a punch than some cordless DeWalt models while also offering a great price, especially since it’s 39% off at Amazon. It usually costs $129 but is currently only $79.
Pros
- Robust motor delivers up to 11,000 RPM
- Quick-change release system simplifies disc replacement
- Protective safety guard rotates 360 degrees
Cons
- Corded design limits portability
- Slightly heavier than similar cordless models
- Lack of included case affects storage options
Equipped with a mighty 11-amp AC/DC motor, this DeWalt angle grinder can achieve a maximum speed of 11,000 RPM. As a result, it can easily slice through metal, remove rust and paint from surfaces, and sharpen lawnmower blades, axes, and more with its 4-1/2-inch abrasive wheel.
This angle grinder also features a protective safety guard that rotates 360 degrees, enabling you to adjust it on the fly without pulling out any tools. Plus, it includes a paddle switch that makes it safer to use by preventing accidental start-ups, and it even boasts a dust ejection system to keep potentially harmful dust and debris from damaging the tool.
The angle grinder’s corded design might not be ideal for those who value portability and want to take it wherever they’re working. However, its 6-foot cord is long enough for many users, and you can also pair it with a heavy-gauge extension cord to make moving around with it more convenient.
“I love its power,” one reviewer wrote. “If you want to experience why DeWalt has such a big name in power tools, buy this one.”
“It’s a hobbyist’s dream!” another reviewer remarked. “It has so many uses, and being a DeWalt tool, it’s as durable as I expected.”
