Extra batteries can make a huge difference for anyone already using DeWalt cordless tools. DIYers, gearheads, contractors, pros, homeowners, and weekend project people all know the frustration of stopping mid-job because a battery is dead. No matter if you’re working on cars, running saws and drills, tackling renovations, doing overhead work, or moving between jobsites, having higher-capacity batteries and a charger ready to go helps keep the work moving.
Thanks to this deal we found at Home Depot, the DeWalt 20V Max Battery and Charger Combo Kit is on sale for just $129. That’s a massive 63% discount on a name brand starter kit that includes one 20V Max 6.0Ah battery, one 20V Max 4.0Ah battery, a 4A charger, and a carrying bag. The two batteries combine for up to 10.0Ah of total capacity, making this a solid pickup for anyone who already owns DeWalt 20V Max tools or wants to build deeper into the platform.
Pros
- Includes both a 6.0Ah battery and a 4.0Ah battery
- Charger works with both 12V and 20V Max batteries
- Includes a bag for storage and transport
- 3-LED fuel gauge makes it easy to check charge level
Cons
- Best value only if you already use or plan to use DeWalt cordless tools
- Doesn’t include an actual power tool
- Larger-capacity batteries can add some weight to smaller tools
The included charger works with DeWalt 12V and 20V Max battery packs, adding more flexibility if you have a mix of tools. The batteries are listed as compact and lightweight for better maneuverability and control, especially during overhead applications, and the 3-LED fuel gauge gives quick feedback on charge level. DeWalt also notes no memory and virtually no self-discharge to help reduce downtime, and the batteries come with a 3-year free service warranty.
One shopper said, “It delivers excellent power and runtime for demanding jobs. The batteries last significantly longer than standard packs, and the charger works quickly and reliably. It’s a great investment for anyone using tools.”
“I am extremely impressed with the performance of these batteries,” raved a second happy buyer. “I have used them on a variety of power tools and they provide a lot of power and run for a long time before needing to be recharged.”
