If you’ve purchased the Craftsman 308-Piece Mechanics Tool Set or one of Craftsman’s other large tool sets in the past, you probably already have more than enough sockets at your disposal. But if you’re just starting to piece together a tool collection or want to invest in a set of sockets that you can toss into your car or truck to use when you’re out on the road, buying a smaller socket set made by the experts at Craftsman might be a great idea.
The Craftsman 61-Piece Mechanics Tool Set is an excellent example of a socket set every vehicle enthusiast should keep on hand. It usually sells for $60, but Amazon is currently offering it for only $40, giving you every reason to pick one up immediately.
This comprehensive tool set includes a full complement of standard and deep 3/8-inch drive sockets. It also comes with a 72-tooth ratchet that offers a 5-degree arc swing and a head that is 25% thinner than previous Craftsman ratchets, allowing it to help you gain access to nuts and bolts in hard-to-reach places. Additionally, it features an extension bar, along with a bit driver and 20 specialty bits.
Craftsman took the time to make this mechanics tool set durable as well. The ratchet boasts a full polish chrome finish to prevent rust and corrosion from setting in. The set is also packaged in a bright red blow-molded case to provide plenty of protection, while simultaneously making it easy to carry around.
“I’m so impressed with the quality of these tools,” one reviewer wrote. “It’s a great set for the money.”
“It’s the perfect set of portable sockets,” another reviewer wrote. “Great quality at a great price. I could not be happier.”
