Overview
The 2026 Cadillac CT4 compact luxury sedan enters what is expected to be its final model year on the same rear-wheel-drive platform that debuted in 2020. Two turbocharged four-cylinder engines carry over unchanged, with an output of 237 hp or, optionally, 310 hp on the Premium Luxury trim. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto remain standard, and an optional Super Cruise hands-free driver-assistance system is on offer for Premium Luxury and Sport buyers. The CT4 continues to undercut European rivals on price while carrying interior and technology tradeoffs that put it at a disadvantage.

What’s New for 2026
Heated front seats and a heated steering wheel become standard on all three trims for the 2026 CT4, previously requiring the Cold Weather Package on the entry-level Luxury. The Climate Package, which includes ventilated front seats, is now folded into the Premium Luxury and Sport as standard, removing it from the options list entirely. Two new exterior colors join the lineup: Vibrant White Tricoat and Coastal Blue Metallic.
Prices rise across all trims relative to 2025, and the 2.7L engine upgrade is now restricted to Premium Luxury and no longer offered on the Sport.
Exterior
The CT4’s proportions remain unchanged for 2026. Wheel sizes step up by trim, from 17-inch Bright Silver alloys on the Luxury to 18-inch Sterling Silver on the Premium Luxury and 18-inch Pearl Nickel on the Sport. The Sport’s visual identity draws from its black finishes and details on the mesh grille, window moldings, and integrated rear spoiler, while optional 19-inch alloys in Polished/Dark Android Gloss or Gloss Black extend the appearance choices on upper trims.

Interior
A small 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless charging pad, and an 8-speaker audio system are standard across all trims. The Premium Luxury adds leather seats, LED Radiance ambient lighting, 12-way power-adjustable front seats with driver memory, and ventilated front seats as standard.Â
The Sport shares those features and layers in 18-way front seats with sport bolsters, alloy paddle shifters, and alloy pedals. An optional Technology Package adds a head-up display and a 12-inch reconfigurable instrument cluster to the upper two trims, and an optional Navigation and Bose Package expands the audio system to 14 speakers.

Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Heated seats and wheel now standard on all trims.
- 310-hp 2.7L engine is a notable performance upgrade.
- RWD standard is uncommon at this price point
- A value-priced premium compact
Cons:
- Sport trim now misses out on the performance engine.
- 8-inch screen trails rivals in size and capability.
- 10.7-cu-ft trunk is among the segment’s smallest.
- Some hard plastics persist across all cabin trim levels
Verdict
The 2026 CT4 adds standard heated seats and a folded-in Climate Package rather than reworking the areas where it most visibly trails the class. The 8-inch touchscreen and hard plastic surfaces remain, and the 10.7-cu-ft trunk continues to limit practicality against rivals. The 2.7L engine’s move to Premium Luxury exclusivity closes off the Sport’s most useful upgrade. Buyers who prioritize the rear-wheel-drive layout will find a good set of features being offered in the Premium Luxury trim at a lower entry price than the BMW 3 Series or Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
