Overview
The 2025 Audi Q3 subcompact luxury SUV is in the final year of its second generation and will be replaced with a redesigned model for the 2026 model year. It comes with a single powertrain option: a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder with 228 horsepower, 251 lb-ft of torque, an 8-speed automatic transmission, and Quattro AWD.
Only Premium and Premium Plus trims are offered, and both come standard with leather upholstery, heated front seats, a power liftgate, 3-zone climate control, and a panoramic sunroof. It’s aimed at people looking for a premium subcompact crossover with the Audi badge and standard AWD.
What’s New for 2025?
The 2025 Q3 range is rationalized with the loss of the base 184-hp powertrain fitted to the 40 TFSI models, so only the 228-hp 45 TFSI models remain. A new Black Optic Plus package is now available as well, and contains blacked-out exterior trim, black 19-inch alloys, carbon-look trim inlays, red contrast stitching, stainless-steel pedal caps, embossed front seats, and more.
The 2025 Audi Q3’s price squeaks in just below $40K, likely for the last time.
Exterior
The Q3 presents a subcompact presentation of Audi’s Singleframe grille, flanked by LED headlights and dynamic turn signals, while the S Line models add a sportier presence with unique bumpers. The alloy wheels measure 18 inches, but larger sizes are available. All Q3s have LED taillights, a panoramic sunroof, roof rails, and a power liftgate.

Interior
The high-quality cabin still looks smart and comes with heated front seats, leather upholstery, 3-zone climate control, and a wireless charging pad. Second-row legroom is a competitive 36.1 inches, and the trunk holds 23.7 cu-ft of luggage.
The tech shows its age, with a rather small 8.8-inch touchscreen and wired Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, but a 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster is standard, and can be upgraded to a 12.3-inch unit.

Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Standard Quattro AWD, leather, panoramic sunroof, and heated seats under $40,000
- 228-hp turbo-four provides adequate power with responsive acceleration
- Compact dimensions make it easy to maneuver and park in urban settings
- 12-year corrosion warranty is the longest in the luxury segment
Cons:
- 8.8-inch touchscreen is small compared to newer competitors
- Wired-only CarPlay and Android Auto on the base trim feels dated
- Rear seat and cargo space trail segment leaders
- All-new 2026 model arriving soon makes the current generation feel old
Verdict
The 2025 Q3 still has a lot going for it, offering buyers a premium Audi experience at a sub-$40K starting price, yet with an uncommonly comprehensive spec sheet that includes standard leather upholstery, heated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a power liftgate, and Quattro AWD. It handles securely, rides well, and still feels modern, despite its age.
Negatives revolve around the aging infotainment system, wired smartphone connectivity in the base trim, and the fact that the redesigned 2026 Q3 is around the corner. The 2025 can still make for a great buy if you can negotiate a good deal on one.
