Overview
The 2027 Audi RS e-tron GT Performance luxury electric sedan is the sole e-tron GT trim left this year, and at over $170K, it competes with upper-crust electric rivals like the Porsche Taycan Turbo and Tesla Model S Plaid. Firepower comes from dual electric motors with a combined 912 hp, with Quattro AWD ensuring a 2.4-second sprint to 60 MPH, while 320-kW DC fast charging can fill the 105-kWh battery from 10-80% in less than 20 minutes. Adaptive air suspension, carbon-ceramic brakes, and a carbon-fiber roof are standard.

What’s New for 2027
The 2027 RS e-tron GT Performance is now the only trim available, following the demise of the old S, Premium Plus, and Prestige trims. This also means the 2027 Audi RS e-tron GT’s price now starts at $170,500. The only other change is that the optional Forged Carbon package now includes a gloss-black grille.

Exterior
Possibly the most gorgeous Audi on sale, the RS GT is a low and wide sedan with striking design details that include Matrix-design laser LED headlights with dynamic turn signals and animations, classic Audi fender blisters, and aggressively broad rear haunches. Wheels measure 21 inches, and the brakes are carbon-ceramic. A carbon-fiber roof is standard, though it can be swapped for a fixed glass roof at no extra cost. An automatically deploying rear spoiler, flush door handles, and active aero elements cut the drag coefficient to 0.24.

Interior
The high-tech cabin incorporates a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and a 10.1-inch touchscreen with adaptive cruise control with lane guidance, a surround-view camera, navigation, and a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system. Quality is of the highest standard, and the luxury quotient is upped by Nappa leather upholstery and a Dinamica faux-suede headliner. Space utilization is not a highlight, with rear-seat space merely acceptable, and the trunk small at only 9.2 cu-ft.
Standard features include ventilated and aggressively bolstered 14-way power front seats, heated front and rear seats, ambient lighting, tri-zone climate control, carbon-fiber trim, and more.

Pros and Cons
Pros:
- 912 hp delivers supercar acceleration
- 320-kW DC fast charging among the quickest around
- Refined and quiet ride
- Luxurious, high-quality interior
Cons:
- Expensive at $170K
- 9.2-cu-ft trunk very small
- 278-mile range trails Air and Model S rivals
- Rear seat tight for taller passengers
Verdict
The sole remaining e-tron GT trim is blisteringly quick but also very expensive at over $170,000. Its stunning styling arguably leads the class, but is this enough against the Porsche Taycan and high-value Model S Plaid, especially considering that the low 278-mile range trails its American rivals by a lot? On the plus side, the 320-kW charging mitigates the range, if you can find such a fast charger, and the impeccable build, quiet cabin, and superb road manners may just clinch the deal.
