The 2026 Porsche Cayenne in a Nutshell

Porschephiles the world over gasped when the first-generation Cayenne broke cover in 2002. While it’s (obviously) nothing like the beloved 911 or Boxster, the Cayenne singlehandedly brought Porsche sales to new heights in the 2000s. Without it, Porsche could probably still be scrimping and saving every penny to this day.

The all-new and all-electric fourth-generation Cayenne is here, but the gas-powered third-generation models will be hanging on for a little bit longer. The third generation was introduced all the way back in mid-2017, so it’s been around for a while already. However, a facelift for the 2024 model year has kept it fresh thanks to exterior tweaks and an overhauled interior. The 2026 model gets infotainment updates.

2026 Porsche Cayenne Lease Deals for March

Only the entry-level Cayenne model – just called Cayenne – is offered with a lease deal this March. This one can be leased for $1,199 per month for 39 months with $10,909 due at signing. If it looks familiar, that’s because those are also the same rates from last month.

What about the electric version, then? Well, there are no lease promos for it at the time of writing. If you want to lease yourself an electric Porsche crossover, you’ll have to go for the Macan EV in the meantime. Mileage is restricted to 32,500 during the leasing period (10,000/year), and it’s $.30 per mile exceeded. This offer is valid until March 31, 2026.

2026 Porsche Cayenne Highlights

Excluding the EV and Coupe versions, the Cayenne is offered in six trims with prices ranging from $89,900 to $164,500. These variants are the aforementioned Cayenne, followed by the e-Hybrid, S, S e-Hybrid, GTS, and Turbo S e-Hybrid. Of course, advanced driver assists are standard, plus adaptive air suspension, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), comfort access, and built-in Amazon Alexa.

The e-Hybrid gets a plug-in hybrid powertrain, while the S is powered by a twin-turbo V8 and benefits from suspension and brake upgrades. The S e-Hybrid is essentially the standard e-Hybrid with more punch, and the GTS is the most powerful pure ICE version of the Cayenne. But if you want the fastest model, there’s the Turbo S e-Hybrid.

Base Cayennes use a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 with 348hp and 368 lb-ft. The e-Hybrid raises that figure up to 436 hp and 479 lb-ft, while the S makes 468 hp and 443 lb-ft from the twin-turbo V8. S e-Hybrid has a combined output of 512 hp and 553 lb-ft, and the GTS doles out 493 hp and 487 lb-ft. As for the Turbo e-Hybrid, it comes out swinging with 729 hp and 701 lb-ft.

Final Thoughts

Is it the most practical midsize crossover around? Probably not, but for those who want more sport from their sport utility, you can’t go wrong with the Cayenne. Despite the Q7 DNA, it drives and rides nothing like the softly sprung Audi. This crossover can really hustle, all while offering buckets of comfort and space for the family.
