The 2026 Mazda CX-90 in a Nutshell
Mazda has always had upmarket ambitions, but it all came together with the introduction of the CX-60 and the larger CX-90. It was hailed as a value alternative to the European luxury marques when it was first launched, and has been a steady seller for the company since.
It’s a few years old now, but it’s not what anyone would call a dated product. Rolling updates have been introduced over the years, and that applies to the 2026 models. Mazda’s flagship SUV gets more standard features and a few more tech updates.

2026 Mazda CX-90 Lease Deals for January
Mazda’s lease deals for this month apply to the entry-level Select trim and the Preferred PHEV. What’s interesting here is that both have the same monthly rate of $269 per month for 33 months. No, that’s not a typo; it really said 33 months on the official website.
Where they do differ is in their respective due-at-signing prices. The CX-90 Select requires a downpayment of $6,319, while the Preferred PHEV is $8,073 due at signing. It’s $0.15 per mile for all mileage over 10,000 miles per year for both models, and the offer is valid until February 2, 2026.

2026 Mazda CX-90 Highlights
In terms of trims, there are six for the standard model and three for the plug-in hybrid. These trims are Select, Preferred, Premium Sport, Premium Plus, S Premium Sport, and S Premium Plus. The PHEV has a simpler selection consisting of the Preferred, Premium Sport, and Premium Plus.
Prices range from $38,800 to $57,370 for the CX-90 and $50,495 to $58,500 for the CX-90 PHEV. In terms of equipment, the two are identical, meaning a widescreen infotainment system, power-adjustable front seats, Amazon Alexa built-in, and i-Activesense advanced driver assists. All PHEV trims get a sunroof standard as well.
Moving to the powertrain department, Select to Premium Plus trims use a 3.3-liter turbocharged inline-six with 280 hp, while S Premium Sport and S Premium Plus get an uprated version of the same engine that puts out 340 hp. For plug-in hybrid models, all use a 2.5-liter engine mated to a single electric motor to give it a combined output of 323 hp. All-wheel drive is standard on all CX-90 trims.

Final Thoughts
We’ll admit that there are other similarly-sized crossovers that carry more space inside, but the CX-90 makes up for that by offering an upmarket feel without having to pay for luxury prices. This being a Mazda, it drives well and is surprisingly nimble for its size. Even the standard inline-six engine offers commendable fuel economy, and the PHEV is ideal for those who want to eke out more MPGs out of their daily drive. Whether pure ICE or PHEV, the CX-90 punches above its weight and deserves to be shortlisted by anyone looking for a midsize three-row crossover.
