It may be the smallest M model, but the BMW M2 is a worthy performance car, from its powerful inline-six engine to its sharp rear-wheel-drive platform. In October 2025, BMW unveiled the M2 Turbo Design Edition, a limited-run model inspired by the iconic 2002 Turbo. Rumors suggest BMW has built just 300 Turbo Design Editions, so it’s a big deal when one of these coupes pops up for sale. This one has covered fewer than 1,000 miles so is virtually new. Here’s a closer look at this collector’s item for BMW M aficionados.

The base BMW M2 starts at $69,000, but this Turbo Design with options and the destination charge was bought new for $92,295. Without options, the M2 Turbo Design Edition had a base price of $82,900. The only other M2 Turbo Design Edition sold on Cars & Bids was a 102-mile example, which was sold for $112,000 mere weeks ago.
Given its rarity, low miles, and appealing options, the 890-mile example seen here could easily sell for six figures, too. The current high bid sits at $69,420, roughly the price of a base M2, so we fully expect this figure to climb in the coming days.

The M2 Turbo Design Edition only comes in Alpine White, providing a cool contrast with the Motorsport stripes and an instant visual link to the classic 2002 Turbo. This model looks in showroom condition, which it should be considering it has barely been driven.
The 3.0-liter turbocharged six-pot delivers 473 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. That goes to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox. This owner, based in Illinois, has already added a few modifications, including:
- FF exhaust Z-pipe midpipe
- Exhaust valve controller
- H&R sport springs
- Wheel spacers
- Carbon-fiber front lip
- Carbon-fiber rear bumper trims
Despite the low mileage, this M2 already had an oil and filter change at 825 miles, which was done in August 2026.
The car is generously equipped with features like the M Driver’s Package, an adaptive M suspension, a heated steering wheel, and M Carbon power-adjustable front bucket seats. It comes with a clean Carfax history report.

My Take

Cars & Bids
The BMW M2 is already a special car without any options or extras, but this Turbo Design Edition is far more exclusive. The limited production of this variant solidifies its collector status, and the heritage inspiration behind this model means it has the classic BMW mechanical package: Rear-wheel drive, a six-speed manual, and an inline-six engine.
Some of the modifications may put some purists off, but they aren’t excessive and the car still looks fantastic. While most other M cars have grown substantially, the M2 still has the compact appeal of legendary cars like the E46 M3. With appealing options and its as-new condition, this M2 Turbo Design Edition could easily go for six figures when bidding ends.
