Mike Bartholomew is a UK-based freelance car writer with over three years’ experience in both journalism and media relations. A lifelong enthusiast, he has a particular affinity for anything Italian, although a bad experience with Alfa Romeo ownership currently leads him to drive a Skoda Octavia vRS Estate.
Experience
Mike spent two years as a Staff Writer with Car Throttle, driving the website’s news desk as well as providing features and reviews covering cars new and old, the wider world of car culture and gaming. Before that, he worked for UK-based automotive-themed coffee house chain Caffeine & Machine, handling outbound communications and media relations as well as providing written content for its website.
Education
After attaining an undergraduate degree in History from the University of Sheffield, Mike went on to study on Coventry University’s dedicated Automotive Journalism Master’s course, graduating with distinction in 2022.
