The 2017 Honda Civic Type R is the very first Civic Type R ever offered in the US. As such, it is fitting that the very first of these Type Rs produced is a US-spec model that will be auctioned in the home of the free. The auction begins today on Bring-A-Trailer, and ends on June 15. All of the proceeds from the auction will go to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.

The car itself is painted in what appears to be Honda’s Aegean Blue metallic paint, which makes for a stark contrast with the bright red interior. Under the hood is the same 306-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and six-speed manual transmission found in other Type Rs. However, unlike Type Rs you may find at dealers, this one is likely to go for a substantially more than the leaked $34,775 base price. You can check out photos of the car above, and submit your bids, here, at Bring-A-Trailer.
