You can still buy station wagons in 2016, but they're mostly edge-case rather than mainstream vehicular choices. Over the decades, we have seen great big faux-wood-grained Detroit monster wagons, little Japanese wagons, and every kind of wagon in between. It's hard not to be a fan of the American two-door wagons of the mid-to-late 1950s (for example, the gorgeous 1959 Mercury Commuter), but my vote goes to the Intermeccanica Murena 429 GT, an Italo-Dearborn machine that featured Ford 429 power and a factory-installed bar (complete with matching glassware) in the cargo area. What's your favorite wagon?
