The Autoblog Reader Ride of the Day begins!

You've all asked for this and we've wanted to do it for a long time, so it is with great pleasure we bring you the beginnings of the Autoblog Reader Ride of the Day. The whole process will work thanks to a little website of which you may have heard called Flickr. The process of submitting your car to be featured as a Reader Ride involves creating your own Flickr account, uploading up to three pictures of your vehicle along with a detailed description, and finally adding it to the Autoblog RR of the Day Flickr group. (More detailed instructions can be found after the jump and at Autoblog's Flickr page.

Unlike most Reader Ride features, we're not looking for just the fastest, most expensive vehicles (although we do welcome such submissions). We're looking for all kinds of vehicles, including the weird and wonderful, rare and unique, fast and furious, young and old, and just plain any interesting automobiles out there taking up space in your driveway.

We intend to feature a Reader Ride of the Day every weekday and feature a Reader Ride of the Week on Sundays. We'll take advantage of the Labor Day weekend to give everyone ample opportunity to upload photos of their rides and begin as soon as we've built up some stock. There are no prizes or rewards for being featured on Autoblog's Reader Ride of the Day (yet!) besides the pride of showing off your ride to hundreds of thousands of people.

To kick this off, we've uploaded our own Eric Bryant's 1996 Chevy Impala SS to the Autoblog Flickr group as a worthy example of a proper submission.

Instructions on how to submit your vehicle to the Autoblog RR of the Day Flickr group:
Create a Flickr account if you don't already have one. Search for and join the group called 'Autoblog RR of the Day'. Upload up to three photos of your ride to your own account at a size no larger than 450 pixels wide if possible. Click on each photo and just above the picture it will say "Send to group". Click that and select the Autoblog group. You're done, that's it!
