Toyota scouting Europe for new plant location?

According to AutomobilWoche, Toyota Motor Co. is considering building a new manufacturing facility somewhere in Europe. Such a plant would begin production by the end of the decade and manufacture 100,000 vehicles a year, with possible sites in the running being France and Germany.
A Toyota spokesperson said the AutomobilWoche report was just speculation. We have to wonder, though, just how much, given that the automaker has been heavily marketing their new vehicles (Lexus GS, etc.) across The Pond.
