BMW to Spartanburg, South Carolina: Thanks a million

BMW's Spartanburg, South Carolina plant has reached a milestone: one million vehicles.

Twelve years after the plant opened in July of 1994, the landmark car, a Z4 M Roadster (Interlagos Blue with Champagne interior, thank-you-very-much) rolled off the line on Tuesday. The historic Z4 will remain in-house, as part of the BMW Mobile Tradition Collection.
