Bentley Motors announced today that it is introducing a 2+2 convertible version of its Continental GTC. Bentley design director Dirk van Braeckel is quoted as saying the car has "the sporting stance of a true performance car," and that it "looks just as beautiful with the roof up as it does when it's down." While these goals are certainly met by the zoomy design drawings at right, we'll leave it to you to decide if the actual design works as well.
In the goes-like-hell department, the Bentley delivers a top speed of 190 mph, courtesy of its 6-liter, 12-cylinder, twin turbo powerplant, powering all four wheels through a 6-speed tiptronic-style automatic.

Bucking the current folding-hardtop trend, the Bentley is a true soft-top. It goes on sale in late 2006.
