Can rolling your car get any worse? The correct answer is yes, as this poor soul found out when he rolled his Mazda3 onto its side. Calling a tow truck might be a logical, post-rollover move, but in this case, it kind of made the situation worse.

We don't want to give away just what happened, so you'll need to scroll down and watch the video. A fair warning, though, it does contain a moment of colorful language towards the end, so watching it at work, with the volume up, might not be wise. Have a look below for the full video.

If he had stuck the handbrake on, or even attached the chain properly it wouldn't have happened.

how exactly would he reach it? if he climbed in on it could flip on its roof, or company rules might not allow it

By smashing the windscreen which is what i've had to do in the past. A smashed windscreen is better than a totalled car, plus it would still go against the drivers liability insurance as the tower would have no choice to do so to make it safe.

The description on Youtube says it was a different person who flipped it.

My question is, how the heck do you roll a Mazda 3 in the first place?

Easy. You overcorrect for oversteer you get when you lift on initial understeer AND you are so cool that you can disable ESP while driving on a public road. Can't really say if this is in US (didn't listen), but a lot of people should be reminded that driving on public roads in this country is at least 100 times more dangerous than driving on a racetrack. Keep your nannies on if you drive on a public road.

@chromal Yea, no DSC/ESP/whatever is very possible. But just look where it happened ... look at that perfection of the corner. Who would not want to get in just a tad hot waiting to align the late apex with exit point, keep it steady with the throttle ... then some idiot just left his pickup parked right in the middle of your lane with driver's door open and is walking to the guardrail on the opposite side (YES, it did happen to me in just such a corner). Boom, done. (no, I didn't crash, I was going relatively slowly). This country's critters on the roads just serve to raise average IQ of its road users (I refuse to call them drivers).

I'm not sure the DSC was standard on all the 1st-generation Mazda3s, for what it's worth, but clearly something really wrong happened before the tow truck showed up. Poor little car deserved better. Must have been totaled twice over.

It’s actually fairly easy to roll over a car; all you need to do is hit something that’ll lift your front end up. In this case I’m thinking the rock wall the person filming is standing on. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0sbNBZvSx_A

I'm glad the owner was ok to be filming it. With that, I'm sorry. But I was laughing my a... off. Both at the owner's commentary, and the tow driver's expression when the car rolled right off the cliff...
