Dually owner understands the value in recycling – Click above to watch video after the jump

There are many ways to crush a Coors Light can. One can go with the classic squeeze box, the ogre-brand forehead smash or perhaps you might prefer to let your foot do the stomping. The owner of an air-bag suspension-equipped Dodge Ram HD dually pickup has another option when it comes time to crush cans; flip a switch and let the quad-cab do the recycling.

Click past the jump to watch a very expensive way to earn five cents.

I hope I'm not the only one to question if this is really autobog worthy. We readers know how YouTube works, we don't need you to find useless videos for us, thanks. I thought this website was about auto industry news. Who the hell cares about a beer can being crushed by a truck? You don't watch a local news channel to keep up with current events, and you don't go to autoblog to read about this crap.

i stopped asking that a long time ago. i continue to be impressed with ideas that people can still come up with for vehicles. :)

Yeah, there is some diesel rattle hiding behind the booming tailpipe. I guess now I have to admit that I actually watched the video...I feel much shame!

No good beer or trucks were harmed in the making of this video.

hahaha. I just thought the same thing. Thank goodness they didnt waste a perfectly capable Ford PSD or GM Duramax for that waste of a display.

Just an FYI, that truck is perfectly capable of doing everything it was designed to do, plus some. It has air suspension. It can still tow a house. So, yeah....no trucks were wasted.

Thats all that poor dually is now good at doing... crushing cans. What a waste.

Alright, I can usually spot tongue-in-cheek material...and this certainly qualifies. But it's still worth noting that the energy conserved by recycling that can was probably sucked through the Hemi before the #1 cylinder got through its first combustion cycle.
