2011 Cadillac CTS-V Sportwagon in the desert - Click above to watch video after the jump

True to its word, Motor Trend has released a follow-up video to its three-way drag race between the Cadillac CTS-V Sportwagon, the Porsche Panamera Turbo and the BMW X6 M, though this isn't exactly your run-of-the-mill comparison test. Given the quirkiness of the vehicles at hand, MT took all three vehicles out to a dry lake bed for a little fun in the sun. If you like watching high-dollar, high-horsepower cars get down and dirty, you'll want to check out the video after the jump.

It's hosted by none other than our pal Jonny Lieberman, and he's even wearing proper footwear this time around. So, which of these automotive oddities came out on top? You'll have to check out the video to see for yourself.

      I watch that video and all I can think about is how dirty the engine bay is going to be, and how much of a pain in the ass it is going to be to avoid paint swirls....

      That Cadillac is in this comparison is an achievement in and of itself

      -> CTS-V hands down: wagon + RWD + Sport Cruiser + 6M/T = EPIC

        Yeah the fact alone that it has a 6MT pretty much does it for me plus it is the only car I find good looking. They say the Porsche is a problem for the CTS-V Sportwagon? Not really since you can buy two CTS-Vs and have money left over for the price of Panamera. Oh and Did I meantion the Panamera is one of the ugliest for door cars ever made?

      If I ever come around to raising a family, I'll get a CTS-V wagon. Practicality with a heaping of insanity.

      The Cadillac is investment-grade. When the market bounces back and the next-gen CTS comes out, these will still be trading spaces at or above original MSRP, like the Hummer H3 is doing right now.

      I like the Panamera, but I'm not sure if it is best car in the world worthy.

        looks are subjective. the car itself is more competent than anyone expected. i don't believe the Panamera turbo is the best car in the world because the Panamera turbo S is the best car in the world.

        amen. You can't ague with the performance or the interior, but it's the styling that will keep it from becoming more than a footnote in the history of porsche.

      I know this guy did not seriously just call the Panamera the worlds first 4 door supercar. The E39 M5 took that honor thank you very much.

        Agree James--there are much better 4 door supercars, and I would take a merc wagon or a Maser Quattroporte long before I got in that ugly Porsche... and lets not forget, the Caddy does those numbers, looks great, has a good warranty, and is a "sleeper" to the police for at least $50K less than the Porsche...

      Why do people keep forgetting the Porche is really a hatch or 5 door or wait for this a wagon with a low roof line in the rear! Boy they guy who reviewed the cars is a tool because all three are cool and all three move at least a few thousand units a year. I just wonder why some people like to impose their opinions on others as fact.

        Because it is literally his job. I just wonder why some people go to an automotive website and watch an opinion piece only to complain about someone giving their opinion.

        I have to agree, technically it's excellent. Also great fun to drive. But you have to sit inside to forget its design isn't quite as good as everything else - so congratulations on owning one of these hunchbacks of Stuttgart.
