Gran Turismo PSP adds Lamborghini to the mix

Exclusive cars for GT5 PSP -- Click above for high-res image gallery
An entirely galaxy could have been birthed in the time it's taking for Gran Turismo 5 to arrive, but at least Sony is trying to make it worth everyone's while when the portable driving sim shows up October 1. If you pre-order Gran Turismo PSP, you'll be able to add one of five cars in select colors, the most special among them being a 1974 Lamborghini Countach LP400 in luscious Arancio (that's orange).
This is the first time Lamborghini has made it to the pixelated world of GT, and the marketing manager promised it won't be the last. The other vehicles available include a Bugatti Veyron in Black M, an Enzo in Giallo (yellow), the GTbyCitroen in a deeper hue of butter, and a GT-R Spec V in metallic blue.
You can still get the cars later even if you don't pre-order, just not in those colors, but in the meantime check them out in the high-res gallery below. Thanks for the tip, Seminole

Finally, but where is Porsche?

The jury's still out on that one. The lead developer has talked about Porsche as if they're in there; but then RUF has been in GT for a while.

Thanks for confusing me on release times there. Is GT5 coming out on 1 Oct or is GTPSP coming out on that day?

GT-PSP is coming out Oct. 1st.
Supposedly GT5 is coming out Dec 29. At least thats the day Amazon says it starts to ship the pre-order.
hector000 5:25PM (8/06/2009)
dont look at Amazon from game release dates. go to gamespot or ign
also if you know anything about GT games, you know they'll be delays.... long ones.
GT4 was delayed a year, GT5 is 1 and 1/2 year late and GT PSP is about 2 years late.

hector: GT PSP is *five* years late. It was supposed to be one of the launch titles.

It would be nicer if they actually showed what the cars looked like in the game rather than these high-resolution renderings.

Those are the in-game cars.
Redline 4:32PM (8/06/2009)
That is a proper Lambo.

knowing past Gran Turismo, 90% those are in game models. I wish the pc got a racer half as good as the PSP now has. I have a very powerful machine (quad core, gtx 285) and racers look like ass on it.
I think its because we have are the gimped retards at Codemasters, SimBin and EA who seem to leave the car models 80% done at best and textures that can best be summed up as pathetic, making all the racing games.

The cars on PCs might look a generation behind, but at least the driving simulation is better. I'll take last-gen graphics and proper driving realism over eye-candy any day.
Anyone else agree?

But what if I want all of the cars? I figure someone will crack the game quickly enough and allow everyone to get all of the cars.
I still want that orange Lambo though.

This is one of the lamest pre-order gimmicks I've seen yet.

It's a car racing game. It has cars in it.
Now can you explain why it's "lame"?
xmdfmk7x 1:06PM (8/07/2009)
Maybe you forgot to read the entire article before posting your stupid comment. Or maybe you don't have a brain. Either way, I'll sum it up for you. If you pre-order the game, you get to pick from five extra "special pre-order colors" for five cars. That is a gimmick, and one of the lamest ones I've ever seen. This is why I said earlier that this is one of the lamest pre-order gimmicks I've seen yet. Do you get it now?

False, although somewhat true also. In I want to say to say the Euro and Japanese versions of GT3 A-spec a Diablo JGTC could be found. It's unlockable in NA versions, but you have to have a way of modifying your save file. I used a Sharkport and MK's, which also allowed the unlocking of a street version Lancia Stratos. For anybody looking for indepth coverage of either GT or usage of MK's, I would recommend GTPlanet.com, pretty much anything can be found there you'd consider looking up regarding GT.
