Autoblog nominated for Best Major Blog, vote now!
Yesterday we discovered that Autoblog was nominated for the Best Major Blog award in the 2008 Weblog Awards. Besides having 24-inch biceps and the ability to eat glass without crying, being a Major Blog requires a Technorati Authority of over 1,001. Apparently Autoblog has that, so here we are. Since we just discovered our nomination, the other nominees have had a head start shilling for votes, which means your friendly neighborhood Autoblog is in dead last with just 117 votes and 0.7% of all votes cast. Come on people, let's show them what an internet mob can really do and get Autoblog back in the game.

One other thing:
The Weblog Awards are a really cool thing for the large number of blogs nominated in all the other categories as well. It gives a number of them exposure they might not normally get, and that's very rewarding for a lot of the bloggers who put in the time simply because they love to do it. It's worth taking a few minutes to peruse them and vote under the other headings, too. Chances are, you'll find a few blogs that you wind up reading on a regular basis.

Some crazy woman talking about infertility then having a baby is in the lead with ~6,300 votes. Then some random nothing blog is in 2nd w/ ~1,500 votes.
Autoblog is 2nd to last w/ ~210 votes.
Step it up people. Do we need to get "I voted" stickers?

The vote is probably based off of your IP, not cookies. You could log on with a different computer (or if you have a laptop, connect to a different WiFi network) to vote again.
