Latest 2010 Ford Mustang teaser gives up goods on interior

Ford has zoomed its camera lens out a bit to finally show us a view of the 2010 Mustang's entire interior. The Dearborn-based automaker appears to be modernizing its retro duds with the latest edition. There's plenty of genuine aluminum on the dash and black leather giving everything a suitably sporty appearance, though we'll withhold judgment until we actually feel the material quality with our own hands. The center stack looks to have some sort of LCD panel at the top with its controls grouped in a nice tight pattern below. We dig the pleated seats and triangular inner door panels along with the contrasting white stitching, as well. After this latest shot, we'd guess that the Blue Oval team will switch back to the exterior now that there isn't much left to see on the inside. There's just two more agonizing teaser shots left before the 2010 'Stang's official unveiling at the LA Auto Show in a little over 13 days, and we're looking forward to seeing it all in person and up close.

Word. Still heavy on the plastic side, but better I agree with you about the other two vehicles. This, from the inside at least, looks very nice.
Now just waiting to see the outside. Grrr...

Having felt the dash I can say it's nice and soft. Not just soft touch but ACTUALLY soft. It's positively cushy.

please, all cars have plastic interiors unless you pony up for a RR (wod) or get hte leather wrapped interiors of some high end cars.
this one is definitely much better than the current one and the coming Camero adn Challenger
good job Ford

Go back to your Civic, JDMLover. Seriously. You want to see plastic, check out ANYTHING coming out of Japan. The new Toyota interiors look like total crap next to this, or, really, anything above a Chrysler.

Hey JLover, look at all these lovely pics of hardcore plastic, oooooh, aren't they beautiful?? Looks no different to me?

The interior is definitely a step up. The materials look as if they are a higher quality and the fit and finish is way above the current Mustang. Again, even though the cosmetic changes to the 2010 Mustang is very subtle, it has so far made a huge impact. You can really see the quality now and the exterior has just become perfect based on the current design from what I can see so far.

I like the look of the interior, I think it's as good as any other similar priced car as far as design and layout are concerned. I'd have to feel the materials though.

The way the buttons are placed (the 4 big ones and the small screen on the top) remind me the Volvo interiors.
But it looks good !
I like it

Is that some exposed wiring I see in the bottom left?

I see something at the bottom right, but nothing on the bottom left. Tho I'm not sure what's what I saw in the bottom right anyway.
happy_penguin 5:43PM (11/05/2008)
At the bottom right that's the glove box knob.
ChopSui 6:00PM (11/05/2008)
Oops, yeah I mean bottom right.

Not as retro as I hoped, but still good.
